5. HOT LAP ONLINE QUALIFICATIONS
Each driver, after successfully registering for the competition, will have 3 different rounds to qualify for the Grand Final.
Qualifications will be held from June to September at three main venues and online.
Hotlap qualification modality:
- Hotlap sessions:
- One sessions with the Dallara Stradale
- One session with the Dallara EXP
To be valid, the times must be completed within the same hotlap qualification. Times recorded in different rounds will not be considered.
The driver’s final qualification result will be calculated by adding together their best lap times from each of the two sessions. (One session with the Dallara Stradale and one session with the Dallara EXP).
Participant is allowed to register for both onsite and online at the same time but the results of the session can’t be mixed.
If a driver qualifies both on-site and online, only their best recorded time will be considered valid. As a result, they will be removed from the leaderboard where they posted the slower time.
Onsite:
Onsite sessions will last at least 15 minutes each, both with the Dallara Stradale and the Dallara EXP.
Payment will be managed at the discretion of each venue, including whether it is applied and the amount, which may vary from location to location. (the payment is for the use of the simulator in the venue – the registration for the championship is free of charge)
By purchasing a session, participants will be entitled to:
- one 15-minute session with the Dallara Stradale,
- one 15-minute session with the Dallara EXP.
The onsite leaderboard will be updated at the end of each day/the next morning. Every venue will have a different leaderboard, laptimes can’t be comparated between themselves due to possible differences in the simulator settings but will be exactly the same for every round of qualification for every single location.
Onsite participants can ask to extend the session length from the 15-minute session at their discretion, prices may vary throughout the different venues based on their price lists.
At Indianapolis, E-Motion Sim Center and Varano de’ Melegari, the car setup will be fixed based on a optimized setup created by Dallara. The only settings that will be available to be changed will be those on the steering wheel (feedback, damper…) No game settings will be allowed to be modified
Online:
The server will be accessible 24/7 throughout each round, except during manual restarts for technical fixes, which will be communicated in advance.
All server details will be communicated in the registration confirmation email. The online leaderboard will be updated every hour.
It is mandatory to save the replay of the best time of your hotlap, as it may be requested by the race direction. Failure to share your replay when requested will result in the cancellation of your lap time and you will be disqualified. (Only for online qualifier)
In the event of a tie, the person who first recorded the time will take precedence.

SPORTING CODE
1. General Rules & Code of Conduct
- Drivers must use their real first and last names in the game to participate in the competition.
- To take part, drivers must have a game server ping of 150 ms or less. If a driver’s internet connection is poor or unstable for any reason, the organizers, race stewards, or the race director have the right to issue a “Black Flag” and instruct the driver to return immediately to the pits to retire or to exclude them from the session.
- All drivers must be punctual and attend the designated sessions as indicated in the official documents. Drivers are expected to be familiar with the championship regulations as well as the specific rules of the game platform being used.
- Drivers must have read and understood the rules specified in the official regulations. Only the organizers have the authority to decide whether a session should be delayed or restarted.
- It is not allowed to push another driver’s vehicle to assist them (for example, if they have run out of fuel or suffered mechanical failure, etc.). Bump drafting is also prohibited. Drivers must always leave reasonable space if they are side-by-side (refer to Article 6).
- Unsportsmanlike behavior is subject to penalties. Any driver who intentionally causes an incident with one or more drivers may be excluded from the race or the entire championship.
- The organizers, race stewards, and race director will monitor the game sessions. They can report any misconduct and, based on their evaluation, apply different sanctions depending on the severity of the violations committed by the driver. This can include removal from the session, formal warnings, or even removal from the championship.
2. Hotlap Qualification/Session
- Drivers must achieve their fastest lap without exploiting external factors. It is forbidden to gain an advantage by using other drivers on track, such as bump drafting or following too closely to the car ahead to gain a slipstream. If a driver engages in one or more of these actions, they may receive a warning or even a penalty for the race session, which could include the removal of their best lap time or being required to start at the back of the grid. Utilizing the slipstream from the car ahead is only allowed if the above rules are not violated.
- Lap invalidation due to off-track excursions is managed by the game and PTracker. The Race Control team may also review the replay to check if track limit violations have occurred.
- It is strictly prohibited to stop on the track to return to the pits using the escape key. Teleportation to the pits is only allowed if the driver stops outside the track and in a safe runoff area. Any breach of this rule will be severely penalized by the race stewards or the Race Director. Repeated violations by a driver will result in a formal warning or disqualification from the competition.
- Drivers on their out-lap must yield to other drivers completing their flying laps by slowing down and giving way. The blue flag system in the game helps drivers become aware that the car behind is on a flying lap. Ignoring the blue flag and blocking a driver on a flying lap is behavior that may be penalized by the organizers, race stewards, or the Race Director.
- Exiting the pit lane must be done cautiously to avoid disrupting the fast lap of other drivers. Crossing the continuous white line is strictly forbidden; any violation may result in a serious penalty from the organizers, race stewards, or the Race Director.
- It is forbidden to approach another driver during their flying lap and attempt to overtake them. The driver behind must ensure there is enough space ahead before starting their timed lap, accounting for potential differences in pace, to avoid interrupting the qualifying lap of the car in front. A driver who disturbs another driver during a flying lap may be penalized, and repeated violations of this rule will result in disqualification from the race or the entire competition.
3. Starting procedure
- The race starting procedure is entirely managed by the game.
4. Track limits
- The track limits are determined by the game itself, using the in-game warning and penalty system for violations. The Race Direction is assisted by the PTracker application to review further violations.
- The pit entry/exit lanes are considered part of the track. Drivers entering/exiting the pit must stay within the pit entry/exit lanes with all four wheels and are not allowed to cross them. The encroachment of the white line will be considered acceptable depending on the situation, and using the aforementioned section of the track irregularly or to gain an advantage will be subject to penalties at the discretion of the Race Marshals and/or the Race Director.
- Going off-track with all four wheels due to an error is considered part of racing. Repeatedly leaving the track in the same corner can be considered gaining an advantage, and a penalty may be imposed by the in-game penalty system or by the Race Marshals and/or the Race Director.
- Gaining a position, gaining an advantage over another driver, or gaining track position (and time) by leaving the track in any way is against the rules. The driver who gained an advantage must, if a position was gained, give the position back to the driver who was overtaken irregularly. If the driver who gained an advantage does not follow this rule, they will receive a post-race penalty from the Race Direction.
5. Flags
- Yellow flags are applied in-game, and drivers must be cautious and slow down to avoid dangerous situations. If drivers ignore the yellow flags, it is at the discretion of the Race Direction to apply a penalty or not.
- Blue flags are applied in-game, and slower/lapped drivers must slow down to give space to the drivers behind. A driver who has been shown the blue flag is not allowed to defend their position on track against the faster car (on the lead lap) behind. Deliberately holding up, blocking, or defending against the car (on the lead lap) behind them will result in a penalty or even disqualification of the lapped driver. Drivers about to be lapped must behave predictably, without making sudden track direction changes.
- Lapped drivers may only un-lap themselves if they can pull away after passing the car with the lap advantage..
6. On-track behavior
- The driver in front has the right to choose any line on any section of the track. The driver loses this right when another driver, attempting to overtake, aligns their front axle with the rear axle of the car in front. At this point, both drivers are in a “side by side” position, and they must give each other space within the track boundaries.
- Defending is allowed and accepted as a reaction from the driver in front. It should be noted that following the apex point in a corner is not considered defending unless the cars are considered “side by side.”
- Both the overtaking driver and the defending driver are responsible for the correctness of the overtaking and defending maneuver. It is the overtaking driver’s responsibility to choose the least risky moment to attempt the pass.
- Overtaking attempts in corners are the maneuvers that cause most accidents. For each corner, the right to the ideal line is decided at the turning point. A driver attempting to pass at the corner entry must be side by side at the turning point to have the right to attempt the pass. If not, the driver must abort the overtaking attempt and give space to the driver in front.
- “Dive-bombing” should be avoided and is subject to penalties. If the overtaking driver loses control of their car and causes contact or loses time for another driver, the penalties applied may be more severe than usual.
- “Brake-checking,” unnecessary slowing in a corner, “punting,” “cutting-off,” regardless of whether contact occurs or not, is not allowed and will be penalized.
- Blocking or pushing (without contact) another driver off the track is not allowed and will result in penalties.
- Zigzagging on the track is not allowed and will be penalized.
- Drivers who lose control of their car must brake to make it easier for other drivers to anticipate their movements. After a spin, the driver must keep the brake pressed to ensure the car stops before returning to the track.
- Drivers who go off track, if they manage to control their car, must slow down and re-enter the track as safely as possible without obstructing other drivers. A driver who re-enters the track and causes one or more incidents will receive a severe penalty from the race direction.
7. Incidents and Penalties
- Official sessions will be supervised by the Race Stewards and the Race Director.
- Reviews of incidents that occur during the race will be conducted by a minimum of two Race Stewards and the Race Director. Decisions regarding warnings or penalties will be issued by the Race Director.
Penalty Assessment Criteria:
I. Contact/inevitable action: Racing contact, no penalty;
II. Avoidable contact or action:
- Warning
- 5-second penalty
- 15-second penalty
- 30-second penalty
- DQ (Disqualification from results)
- Unsportsmanlike behavior or any other violation of the Sporting Code: Warning, disqualification, or exclusion from the championship as determined by the Organizers and the Race Director.
- If a driver causes an avoidable incident and the driver who was contacted loses position or sustains significant damage, the guilty driver can expect a penalty of at least 5 seconds up to a maximum of 30 seconds.
- Repeat offenders will receive a 30-second penalty with gradual severity.
- Race Stewards will exercise reasonable judgment at all times, especially during the review of light contacts, touches, or collisions.
- Race Stewards will note and review all incidents that occur during each session. During the race, priority will be given to incidents involving cars in the top 10 positions, however, all noted incidents will be reviewed during or after each race. Any incident brought to the attention of the Race Stewards and the Race Director via the post-race protest system will be reviewed as soon as possible, but only after the Stewards have completed their review of incidents detected during a race. Incidents not submitted through the protest system may not be reviewed by the Race Stewards and the Race Director.
- The final results can only be issued after the Race Stewards and the Race Director have reviewed all incidents and applied the relevant penalties. The final results will include any post-race penalties applied by the Race Director.
8. Protest
Drivers are authorized to submit protests up to 10 minutes after the conclusion of the race session. The official server Discord channel named “Protest” is designated for this purpose. Drivers can submit their protests in the following format:
- Car #
- Opponent car(s) #
- Lap #
- Corner #
- Brief description of the incident: ………………
A message will be posted on the Discord channel by an administrator confirming the start time of the Protest section. A subsequent message will be posted to confirm the closure of the protest section. Claims not submitted within this time frame will not be accepted or reviewed.
Claims submitted with the wrong format or incomplete will not be considered by the Race Stewards.Participants who misuse the protest channel will be penalized or disqualified from the championship.
9. Further rules on the game server
- The game’s CHAT window must be enabled for all official sessions in the game’s user interface settings. Organizers will not accept complaints for missed messages if sent via this chat.
- Text chat is not allowed during Free Practices (FP), qualifications, and the race. Drivers who do not follow this rule may be warned or penalized during or after the session. Repeated offenders may receive a penalty that impacts the race result, championship standings, or even disqualification from the competition.
